Making the Transition over to Bare Feet Shoes

Wednesday, February 15th, 2012

Before buying a pair of running shoes like the Vibram FiveFingers Komodo Sport’s, you should probably understand what you are getting yourself into. Many runners today have shoes that have very thick soles. Shoe companies back in the day decided to thicken their soles to provide more support and bring down injury rates. They also did this to help their sales as well. However, injury rates are still pretty high. With barefoot type running shoes, you don’t have an soles at all. It will be very tough to make the transition over from traditional shoes over to barefoot shoes. You will be forced to use more muscles in your legs and you will have to keep an eye out for rocks or anything else that can present some danger to your feet. However, once you get the hang of this new style of running, your legs will be stronger and you should be a lot less prone to injury.

My Golf Game is the Worst

Friday, February 10th, 2012

I am a pretty good athlete but I can’t seem to get control over my golf game. I have been playing fairly consistently for about five years now and while I have short periods of time or streaks where I play really well I can’t manage to sustain a high level of performance. The main culprit behind my inconsistency is my golf putting stroke. There are days that I am stroking my putter pretty well and rarely if ever have to put more than twice on any given hole and then there are days when I couldn’t sink a putt to save my life. This is extremely frustrating and while I am not ready to hang up my clubs and give up golf all together I do feel like I need to either iron out the kinks in my game or decide that golf is just for fun and play solely for recreation.
